Great video as always! No shots, only suggestions.
Carpenter here. When showing the functionality of a wall anchor no matter what style, I think you should offer the demo with some sort of stock being pinched between the wall and head of the fastener. Just like you did with the small steel plate during the concrete cut section with anchor.

8:30 For the dual sided blade, if the mount is symmetrical it will last about twice as long as a normal blade. Cut until the front side is mostly dull, flip it and use the other side. Even the dull former front side should cut backwards OK enough.
So even if it costs more for having both sides cut with teeth, it should still be cost competitive..

    • nobody 369

      nobody 369

      4 mesi fa

I absolutely love these blades! went through the first pack before I even realized there's more teeth on one side.. I use to cut 2" thick pine slabs, makes no difference at all in cutting just buffs the bearing a bit, and when they break in half from jumping or bottoming out they still cut thin material like plywood and drywall and still out last/ perform better than standard blades. highly recommended! made by spyder

    • ModelLights

      ModelLights

      4 mesi fa

@duudsuufd 'No support from the bearing when going backwards.' You do realize that's not required, right? Even having the bearing on low cost jigsaws is a relatively newer fad, most jigsaws in people's homes don't even have the guide bearing. Turning blades around to cut backwards is an old hack, used for ages.

Yep, closest thing to diamond in hardness,,but so hard it will shatter like glass if it is impacted. Just like a carbide tipped scribe can engrave in steel with very little effort, but if you drop it on a concrete floor you can kiss it goodbye.

@hetrodoxly 1 Well, I guess I was wrong -- there does appear to be at least one! You've been out of the loop, my friend. Reversable ratchets are a thing. I have a pile of them I use daily. Trust me, they're able to turn clockwise or counterclockwise with no more than the flip of a lever.

Cool stuff, although I don't quite understand the purpose of showing the internal workings of a ratchet. It's a great tool and all but hardly qualifies as being "on another level".
